TriYoga Teacher Training | Guidelines for Yoga Alliance

Procedure to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance through TriYoga:

  1. Read the revised Certification Handbook  and the FAQ on TriYoga Certification & Yoga Alliance.  We have found that this answers the majority of questions that prospective teachers have.

  2. To satisfy the requirement to document the hours of study completed in the various categories, use the worksheet provided in the TriYoga certification handbook. Some categories are obvious such as TriYoga Anatomy, Subtle Anatomy, Prana Vidya (for Philosophy, Ethics & Lifestyle category), and Teaching Methodology. In some cases, it may be necessary to estimate training hours for Technique and Practicum coursework taken previously. Newer interns should be able to document all hours with either the worksheet or workshop passes initialed by the TriYoga teacher. As mentioned in the handbook, the teacher trainer must be one that is recommended to teach that particular topic by TriYoga International.

  3. After receiving certification as a TriYoga teacher and completing the Yoga Alliance requirements, submit your worksheet to TriYoga. TriYoga will review to verify all requirements are satisfied and provide either the approved application for Yoga Alliance or apply for you.
